About Us

Daero Community Forum was established to serve the

needs of the Eritrean diaspora community in Birmingham and across the region.

We are a small third sector organisation founded in 2013 to improve our community’s access to rights, opportunities and positive outcomes.

We are committed to working with statutory agencies to improve their responses to our diaspora, and allying withcivil society leaders as members of Citizens UK to strive for the common good for all.

Our Mission

We at DeEro community forum are dedicated to:-

  • Establish a trusting relationship with all individuals to provide impartial assistance and guidance without barriers.
  • Help improve the quality of life by enabling individuals and communities access to the mainstream services and help their seemless integration to the British sosciety.
  • Getting involved to have an input and influence in local initiatives and policies

Advice & Advocacy service

Sevices offered by DeEro community forum

We deliver a free and confidential Advice & Advocacy service to clients from our community.

This covers navigating access to rights and entitlements such as benefits, housing, NHS services and other public services. Supported by experienced interpreters we are able to help bridge language barriers as well as any differences in cultural understanding.

The Eritrean Diaspora

Birmingham is a rich and diverse metropolitan city with over 108 languages spoken by it’s citizens.

Many Eritrean have made the long journey from east Africa to making Brum their home. We as DaEro forum are dedicated tobe a trusted gateway to wards thier intergaration to the British society.
